August Brings Customer Appreciation Day to Arrowhead Travel Plaza

Arrowhead Travel Plaza at Wildhorse Resort & Casino has many loyal customers and to show appreciation, it is throwing a Parking Lot Party Wednesday, August 22, from 11am to 3pm.  The Arrowhead team will serve up free food, live music and giveaways.

Get out of your car and move your feet to the country rock vibe of Nuketown or dance in your seat while you listen to the live remote on 103.5 KWHEAT.  Be sure to fill up your tank because Arrowhead will be offering a special fuel discount, the amount to be revealed the day of the party.  Past discounts have ranged from 25¢-40¢ per gallon.

Come to Arrowhead Travel Plaza and enjoy the rewards of being a loyal customer!  If you can’t make it to the party, drivers can get a fuel discount any day with a Rewards on the Rez card.

Cineplex

The Wildhorse Cineplex shows the top new movies in air-conditioned comfort every day between noon and midnight.  On Wednesdays in August, the Cineplex offers its $5 matinees.  Price includes admission, popcorn and a beverage.  Families can enjoy a popular movie appropriate for all ages at 10am and classic movie fans can see an old favorite on the big screen at noon.

Golf

The golf course at Wildhorse Resort & Casino was named one of America’s top casino golf courses by Golf Digest.  This unique, scenic course has four sets of tees allowing for games that range from 4996 to 7112 yards.  Pro shop hours are 7am to 6pm and the Clubhouse Grill is open for breakfast and lunch.

Ladies, if you’re serious about becoming a better golfer, this is your last chance to join the acclaimed Ladies Wednesday Night Golf Clinic at Wildhorse Resort & Casino Golf Course.  The series begins August 8 and is guaranteed to take your golf game to the next level.  The curriculum includes rules and etiquette, fundamentals, short and long game play instruction and competitive strategies for all levels of play.  And to make sure you have fun, the clinic includes prizes and a 19th hole wine tasting!

The final Junior Golf Camp of the summer runs from August 13 – 17 at Wildhorse Resort & Casino Golf Course.  All students receive 12 hours of instruction by a PGA member and staff, a complimentary meal at the awards banquet, a Wildhorse Golf gift and a Junior Golf Package.  Instruction includes fundamentals, rules and etiquette, nutrition and fitness and provides fun, friendly competitions.

Sports Bar

The Wildhorse Sports Bar features free live music every Friday and Saturday for guests 21 and over.  Happy hour is from 4-7pm, Sunday through Wednesday, offering both food and drink specials.

August ends and September begins with two special nights of country music served up with a Cajun twist.  The Doo-Wah Riders will knock your socks off with a high energy arrangement of classic and original songs.  The five-member band from southern California has performed across the U.S. and in Europe.  2018 marks the band’s 40th anniversary and they still tour over 200 days a year which attests to their fan base and entertaining quality.  Check out their video at https://youtu.be/Blp2gMf61Fc.

Plateau

Plateau Wine Night at Wildhorse Resort & Casino is held on the first Wednesday of each month. The August event sold out early and featured “Seven Hills” of Walla Walla, Washington.  Be sure to make your reservations early for the September wine tasting.

Tamastslikt Cultural Institute

Take advantage of free admission when you visit Tamastslikt Cultural Institute on the first Friday of the month.  August 3 marks the opening of a new exhibit, “Beautiful Games: American Indian Sport and Art.”  This exhibit features artwork, artifacts, history and discussions about sports and its role in tribal life.  Also on Free First Fridays, you are invited to join the free beadworking class at 10am in the Museum Store where you’ll want to shop for exclusive handcrafted gifts or Pendleton blankets.

Satisfy your appetite with a delicious lunch or light fare at the Kinship Café featuring native-inspired foods.  The museum and store are open Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm, the café from 11am-2pm.

Throughout the month of August, there are so many ways to win at Wildhorse Resort & Casino!
