City ScapeSituated on the I84 corridor intersecting with US395 and Hwy11 provides fantastic access for this city of over 16,600 citizens to anywhere in the state of Oregon and beyond. Starting in 2017, Boutique Airlines will service the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport in Pendleton, Portland International Airport is only a 60 minute ride away. The City of Pendleton has invested more than $2 million through the Urban Renewal District into improving and restoring the historic downtown area. With private investment, over $4 million has been invested. To enhance opportunities for more development, the community has also invested in the building of an industrial complex on Barnhart Road.

Even as Pendleton poises for the future, it cherishes its past. From celebrating 100 years of the world famous Pendleton Woolen Mills and the Pendleton Round-Up to the Rivoli Theater Restoration Coalition, the Pendleton Underground Tours and to the many partnerships with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla, Pendleton captures and shares the essence of the Old West. 755,000 visitors a year pack up for an adventure and make Pendleton their destination for a taste of our history.
