Electric Power
Electric power is furnished by Pacific Power with approximately 14,000 meters in Pendleton and the immediately adjacent area. Umatilla Electric Cooperative Association and Pacific Power furnish power to the outlying county. The main transmission lines to the southeast (from McNary Dam) have excess capacity of BPA originated electrical power. Within the city, Pacific Power is has the availability and excess capacity to provide electrical power to support your business expansion Natural gas is supplied through the Cascade Natural Gas Company with approximately 8,000 meters in the Pendleton district..

Water and Sewer System
The city manages the water and sewer system, of which both have significant excess capacities. Modern water and sewer systems serve the entire community. The city’s water comes from mountain springs and deep wells, with production capacity of 13.5 million gallons a day, storage capacity in reservoirs of 5.43 million gallons and average daily use of 4.1 million gallons. The sewage disposal plant has a capacity of 12.1 million gallons a day and a load of only 2.9 million gallons. The plant is operating at 24% capacity. The plant was built with a growing community in mind and should be able to support a population of 25,000.

Gas Service
Cascade Natural Gas Corporation provides the city with gas service. To the west of Pendleton the major natural gas pipelines pass through the area. Because of this, several natural gas fired cogeneration plants have been sited in Umatilla County. The north end of the county also has a preponderance of wind powered electrical generation capacity.

Telephone Service
Telephone service is provided through Qwest Communications with a state-of-the-art digital switching system serving approximately 10,600 access lines. Eastern Oregon Telecom and Charter Communications also supply both local and long distance service and other telecommunications services. Pendleton also has many cellular phone service providers. Wireless internet service is available at a growing number of areas in town.

The Pendleton Sanitary Service is a privately owned and franchised business.
